Joe Budden and Shadée Monique are officially taking their relationship to the next level.
The rapper-turned-podcast host proposed to his longtime girlfriend during his birthday celebration Saturday night, and Shadée said “yes.”
Footage of the special moment has been circulating online, showing Budden getting down on one knee and asking Shadée, “We doing it or what?”
Her response was simple: “Of course we are!”
The proposal comes just two days before Budden’s 46th birthday on August 31. The couple has been together since 2019 and recently celebrated seven years together in July.
But the engagement wasn’t the only major announcement of the night.
Shadée also revealed that the couple is expecting a baby girl, making the celebration an even bigger milestone for the longtime couple.
Budden and Shadée have also been open about their relationship and marriage conversations through their joint podcast, Pod Wives, so the engagement isn’t necessarily a complete surprise to those who have followed their relationship.

The couple recently announced their 7th anniversary in July 2026, with Budden proposing in August 2026, on his 46th birthday.
For Budden, this marks another major chapter in his personal life after years of having his relationships play out in the public eye.
Now, he and Shadée are preparing for marriage, parenthood, and a new chapter together.
