Aaron Pierre is officially single, but the actor doesn’t appear to be in a rush to change that.
During an Aug. 7 appearance on TODAY, the 32-year-old Lanterns star confirmed that he is currently single when asked directly about his relationship status.
“I am!” Pierre said when Jenna Bush Hager asked if he was single.
The confirmation comes months after his reported romance with Teyana Taylor ended.

Pierre and Taylor publicly confirmed their relationship in June 2025 after months of speculation surrounding the two.
By December 2025, reports surfaced that the pair had gone their separate ways. Neither has publicly provided extensive details about what led to the breakup.
While Pierre may be single, fans have embraced the actor as the internet’s latest “boyfriend,” a title Pierre admitted he doesn’t mind.
“We’re all only human,” he said, acknowledging that the attention was “warmly received” and that it “definitely makes me smile.”
But despite the attention, Pierre says his priorities currently extend beyond dating. The actor explained that he’s focused on being the best father he can be while also becoming the best artist he can be.
And honestly, there’s something worth talking about there. Being single doesn’t always mean someone is actively looking for their next relationship. Sometimes, it’s a season of focusing on family, career, personal growth, and figuring out what you actually want before inviting someone else into your life.
For celebrities, that can be even more difficult because their personal lives are constantly under public scrutiny. Every photo, friendship or interaction can quickly turn into dating speculation.
Pierre, however, seems comfortable letting people know where he stands: he’s single, he’s focused, and he doesn’t give the impression that he needs a relationship to feel complete.
