Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia’s relationship moved quickly, and so did the end of their marriage.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and Guobadia first became publicly linked in 2021. At the time, their relationship immediately attracted attention because Simon was the estranged husband of Falynn Guobadia, who had appeared on RHOA. Simon had filed for divorce from Falynn before he and Porsha announced their relationship, and Porsha maintained that she had nothing to do with their divorce.
Porsha and Simon got engaged in May 2021, only a short time after their relationship became public. The couple later married in November 2022, holding two lavish wedding ceremonies over Thanksgiving weekend.
But roughly 15 months into their marriage, Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024. At the time, the court filing described the marriage as “irretrievably broken” with no prospects for reconciliation. The filing did not publicly provide a detailed reason for the breakdown.
As the divorce played out publicly, however, Porsha began sharing more about what she believed went wrong.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Porsha described the “final straw” as what she perceived to be betrayal of what she believed their marriage was. She said she had thought they were strong communicators but later felt that communication had changed.
According to BRAVO, she later discussed additional concerns on RHOA, saying she discovered things she believed Simon had not been truthful about. She referenced headlines involving allegations about his past and said the revelations left her questioning what she knew about her husband. These claims were part of Porsha’s account of the relationship and should not be treated as proven facts.
Porsha also pushed back against the idea that she married Simon for money or publicity. In a later interview, she said the relationship was genuine and that she was heartbroken that the marriage ended.

The divorce was ultimately finalized in June 2025. Porsha later described herself as feeling relieved and ready to move forward. Now, the financial side of the divorce is putting the marriage back in the spotlight.
Porsha is reportedly walking away with the Atlanta mansion, more than $1.5 million in reimbursement and a 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost.
Shortly after the financial details were released, Simon Guobadia took to his Instagram stories saying,
“They Forgot to Mention They Also Inherited $8,000,000 in Debt & Still Got to Pay Me. Being Debt-Free Is My Flex”
