Tyla is opening up about her dating preferences, and it looks like the singer is more of a homebody than some fans may realize.

During her latest appearance on the Miami on the Rocks podcast, Tyla was asked to choose between dating a guy who “plays video games all day” or a “club guy.”

Her answer? The gamer.

“Video games all day. A club guy? No… I also love being home and chilling,” she said.

This isn’t the first time the “Water” singer has shared what she looks for in a relationship. Tyla has previously been candid about the type of lifestyle she prefers in a partner.

Back in 2024, during an interview with Power 96.5 FM in Miami, Tyla revealed that she would also choose a boyfriend who plays video games over someone who spends every weekend at the club. At the time, she explained that at least she would know the gamer would be home with her.

But Tyla didn’t stop there. The singer also revealed that when it comes to relationships, she’d choose love over money and smart over money.

She also shared one personality trait that can quickly turn her off.

“I’m turned off by guys who are funny all the time without knowing when to be serious,” Tyla said.

For now, though, Tyla isn’t looking to put herself back on the dating market. The singer has joked that she’d rather win the lottery than find true love right now.

Tyla described herself as “very single” and said she’s currently laser-focused on her music career.
