Talk about not wasting any time!

Ludacris and Eudoxie Mbouguiengue have one of those celebrity love stories that still makes people do a double take.

The couple had been dating since 2009 when Ludacris decided to take things to the next level during the 2014 holiday season. And he didn’t exactly go for a low-key proposal.

While traveling on a private plane, Ludacris popped the question to Eudoxie with a message displayed on the ground below: “Eudoxie, will you marry me?”

She obviously said yes, and Ludacris later joked that she didn’t just say yes—she said “HELL YES!”

But here’s where their story gets interesting. They didn’t wait to have the wedding.

According to reports at the time, the couple got married the same day Ludacris proposed.

They returned home to Atlanta after their trip and had a small ceremony surrounded by close friends and family.

Ludacris later shared a photo of himself and Eudoxie as newlyweds, basically asking the question a lot of people probably had: “Why wait?”

The couple had reportedly been together for about five years before getting engaged, so while the wedding happened quickly, their relationship wasn’t exactly brand new.

Eudoxie also celebrated their wedding on social media, sharing photos from the intimate ceremony and calling it a “great way to go into the new year.”

The two went on to build a family together, welcoming their daughter Cadence in 2015.

Eudoxie is also a mother to her daughter from a previous relationship, while Ludacris has children from previous relationships.

Nearly a decade later, their proposal story remains one of those celebrity wedding moments that sound like something straight out of a movie.
