Yaya Mayweather is dealing with a major judgment years after a 2020 altercation involving NBA YoungBoy.

A judge has ordered Yaya, the daughter of Floyd Mayweather, to pay more than $50 million to Lapattra Jacobs, who was involved in a confrontation with Yaya at NBA YoungBoy’s home.

The situation goes back to April 2020, when Yaya and Jacobs got into an argument at the rapper’s Texas home.

At the time, Yaya was dating NBA YoungBoy, and Jacobs was also connected to the rapper.

Things reportedly got heated, and the argument turned physical. Yaya was accused of attacking Jacobs with knives, leaving her with serious injuries to her arm that required surgery.

Yaya was later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She ultimately pleaded no contest and received probation instead of a prison sentence.

But Jacobs also took the situation to civil court, seeking damages for the injuries and other effects she said she experienced following the altercation.

Now, years later, a judge has awarded Jacobs $50.105 million.

The judgment reportedly includes more than $40 million in compensatory damages, covering things like medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish, impairment, disfigurement, and lost earning capacity. An additional $10 million was awarded in exemplary damages.

Yaya has previously maintained that she acted in self-defense.

What started as a messy situation surrounding a relationship has continued to follow both women years later and now comes with a price tag of more than $50 million.
