A New York family is grieving the loss of 30-year-old nurse Gabrielle Forman after police say she was shot and killed by her husband, 37-year-old Jadet Forman, before he died by suicide.

Gabrielle had reportedly just returned home from a family trip to Georgia, where she had been celebrating her mother’s birthday and her sister’s transition to college.

According to Gabrielle’s family, she was on FaceTime with her mother when Jadet allegedly entered the apartment and took the phone, abruptly ending the call.
